Registration:
Registration Opens February 11th at 11AM Central Time. Don’t pay until you are registered!
I will be registering up to 10% of the register list, 15 people, in advance whom are either sponsors or those helping to make this event happen. Also, The IFPA Board of Directors (they don’t count in the total).
Registration for The Great Lakes Pinball Open Tournaments is a 2 step process
Secure your spot – be one of the first 150 people to register on this site when registration opens on February 11th at 11:00AM Central Time — That is the rush part and is the same it has always been for all my events. Exactly at 11AM a blue button that says ‘Register’ will appear (you need to hit F5 to refresh your browser). Click that button and give me your name and email (and choice of overhead lighting preference, that is new) then click submit. You can only register for one person at a time. Once you have secured your spot the rush is over, take a minute, and correctly pay for it.
Pay for your registration – After you register above, pay with a credit card by clicking the “Buy Now” button below which takes you to Square Pay or sending ekthoren@yahoo.com a pay pal with the required funds. Pay Pal you can use either merchant or friends and family. Make sure you put your name that you registered with somewhere in the notes of the payments. I have to manually check the registration and payment systems separately and match them up. You can pay for more that one person at a time, just give me a note or send an email as to whom you are paying for. You can also pay cash for a $10 Discount ($250 Total), but only if you pay at the Winter 3X Tournaments on February 16th-19th. Just send me an email saying you are going to pay in full at that event. All sales taxes, fees, etc, are in that cost. If you pay first and don’t secure a registration your money will be refunded (less any fees incurred by District 82). Follow the instructions and Register First, Pay Second. Make sure you read and understand the Refund Policy stated below.
THIS $260 NEEDS TO BE PAID BY NOON ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 12th. STARTING AT NOON ANYONE NOT PAID WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE REGISTERED LIST AND THE NEXT PERSON ON THE WAITING LIST WILL BE REGISTERED AND GIVEN 1 DAY TO PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE.
Waitlisted players will not receive any emails unless they are moved up to registered. Then they will have 1 day to make the payment of $260 for the tournaments. If they do not, they are deleted and then we will move onto the next player on the waitlist.
You are paying for all of the tournaments at once. I will not be offering individual tournament registrations on these tournaments at this time.
Pay for your entry into all 4 tournaments (Fri-Sun) using the button below AFTER you secure your spot in the Great Lakes Pinball Open. Do not pay any money if you are not registered. Do not pay any money if you are on the waitlist. You will be contacted if you move up from waitlist to registered.

Sunday has 2 separate events run concurrently. The Main finals are only for the top 24 players that qualify for it. The 3 strike knockout is open to anyone who wants to play in it including the top 24 qualifiers who are playing in the finals. If you play in both tournaments at the same time you run the risk of causing an 'intentional delay' of more than 60 seconds, as defined by IFPA rules, will result in a warning for first offense and a score of zero for that game on second and subsequent offenses.
Sunday's alternate tournament has a prize pool of $10 per person that will include all the people that paid for these tournaments including the 24 players that are in the finals of the main event. So if we have a full event of 150 players and only 126 of them play in the Sunday 3 strike knockout the total prize pool will still be $1,500.

Sign up here: https://district82.com/event/beat-the-clock-tournament-glpo/
This is a 1 day tournament that will not be combined with anything else and there is no finals or side tournament. You do not have to be part of the GLPO to play in this one event but you do need to register for it.
This is going to be group match play style with swiss style pairings. The difference here is that we are going to play only the EM and earlier solid state pins. These are all the faster playing games at District 82 (the B group). Plus, this tournament is going to be based on time and not rounds of play. We will start promptly at 6PM and continue until 11PM. You need to be at District 82 by 5:45PM to check in. Whatever round we are on when 11PM comes we will finish that round and that is the end of the tournament. The first player to reach 30 points is declared the winner and the tournament is over. If multiple players reach the target score on the same round the player with the higher total is the winner. If they are tied a randomly drawn game will be selected for tie breaker. Only a tie for 1st position will be broken with a 1 game tie breaker for the affected players. No playoffs or finals. Automatic Tiebreakers (if available in Match Play Software) will be turned on and will supersede any tie other than a tie for 1st place.

How to Cancel
You can unregister by clicking the unregister link on this page (next to the Register/Waitlist Button above) or by sending a detailed email to ekthoren@yahoo.com. Both are time and date stamped and I will process your refund in the same manner you paid (Credit Card, Pay Pal, etc.) as soon as I can. This is not an automatic system so I personally need to process any refunds. It may take a couple days if I'm not in town when you cancel.
If the coronavirus or some other disease numbers go crazy (crazy is relative to every person individually) but I am still legally allowed to hold these tournaments, then the tournaments will go on as planned and no refunds will be issued.
If Event is Cancelled/Snow Storm
If the entire event is cancelled for any reason then a full refund will be issued to everyone. I would base any weather related cancellation or delays on the weather in Green Bay, WI. If I delay the start of a day I may make up that time by limiting breaks, etc. Please save the email address events@district82.com and ekthoren@yahoo.com in your contacts folder so email updates don't go to spam folder. District 82 is not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred like lodging, car rental, or airfare for this event.
Video Recording and Photography
By participating in this and any event at District 82 you agree to have yourself video recorded and also photographs to be taken. These will be used to record the event and for promotion of future events.
