Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: March 11, 2023
Come one, come all to the first Level Two Pinball Title Belt Bout! Contestants will be battling their way through the gauntlet of 6 qualifying rounds, before playing in a single elimination bracket for a cut of that juicy prize pool!
Matchplay.com will be used to run the tournament.
Qualifying will be played as follows:
- Players will be put into 3 or 4 player groups as necessary
- 4 player groups will be scored as 7/5/3/1
- 3 player groups will be scored as 7/4/1
- Games will be picked randomly
- If players are tied at the end of qualifying, tiebreakers will be determined as follows:
- Number of first place finishes
- Number of second place finishes
- Number of third place finishes
- A single tiebreaker game, chosen at random, if all other attributes are tied
- Top half of the field move on to the Championship Belt Finals
- If there are at least 8 players, the bottom half of the field move on to the Junior Belt Finals
Finals will be played as follows:
- 3 games will be played
- 4 player groups will be scored as 6/4/2/1
- Top seed will have choice of game or position
- Winner of the first game will have choice of game or position for the second game. The same is true for the third game.
- The same game cannot be picked in the same round
- The same game cannot be picked by the same player in consecutive rounds
- Top 2 players from each group will move on to the next round
- In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker game will be selected at random
- If a game is already in progress on a game, a different game must be picked
Prize pool will be split as follows:
- $5 entry, 100% goes into the prize pool
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will get a portion of the prize pool.
- If the Junior Belt Finals are played, 1st place in that tournament will get a portion of the prize pool
