Come on down to Kidforce Collectibles in Berea, OH for a single day matchplay event!! Qualifying will begin on May 27th at 12pm and will consist of approximately 12 rounds of group matchplay - that's a lot of pinball! The event will recieve an approximately 1.6x WPPR multiplier.
PREREGISTRATION:
There is a 64 player cap on this event. You don't have to pay at the time of registration, just reserve your spot - payment will be due at the door on the day of the tournament. To pre-register (once preregistration opens on Friday the 5th of May), you can contact me here (through Messenger) or Kidforce on Facebook. We'll also keep a waiting list, so if you don't make it in, don't lose hope! We'll let you know if we have a spot for you.
ENTRY:
$15 dollars, plus coin drop.
There is an onsite change machine as well as an ATM right across the street.
PROMOTIONS:
Free burgers! Also, free Stern Pinball keychains!
QUALIFYING:
Qualifying will start at noon SHARP on the 27th! We will run rounds of qualifying until 630pm, after which no new rounds will start. The format is group matchplay, with 4 player groups scored 7/5/3/1 and 3 player groups scored 7/4/1.
To prevent long round times, the tournament will use balanced groupings and games, meaning the software will try to give you a good fair spread of opponents and games.
PLAYOFFS:
PAPA style playoffs! Players will be in 4 player groups, and the groups will be scored 4/2/1/0. Each group will play three games per round with the 2 highest scoring players moving on to the next round. The highest seed has the first choice of picking games or position. The highest seed must pick 1 game from each room (downstairs, up front, in the back) and they cannot pick a game that they picked in the last round.
CUT FOR PLAYOFFS:
48+ Players - 24 player finals, top 8 receive a round 1 bye.
32-47 Players - 16 player finals, no byes.
24-31 Players - 12 player finals, top 4 receive a round 1 bye.
16-23 Players - 8 player finals, no byes.
The top 8 players outside of the IFPA top 1000 that do not qualify for main finals can participate in a B division finals that will start alongside the A finals on Sunday

11:45 - Player meeting, announcements
12:00 - Round one begins!
~7:00 - Qualifying ends
7:30 - Playoffs begin
