Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: June 24, 2023
Come on down to Kidforce for the next of our super series events! We will be playing a new format at this one - IFPA sanctioned!
This format is unique - it is like a head to head format, but with a twist. The twist: every ball counts! The winner after ball 1 receives 1 point, the winner after ball 2 receives 1 point, and the winner after ball three receives 2 points, for a total of 4 points available per round. Each round is only one game, then you'll move on to your next opponent. The rounds will be Swiss pairings, so winners will play winners - you may play the same opponent more than twice, although steps will be taken to avoid that. The idea is that, even against the best, you can still get some points rather than winner take all!
After 16 rounds of this head-to-head play, we'll cut to top 16 (assuming 32> are in attendance, it'll be 12 person playoffs if 24-31) for A division playoffs! This will be standard Matchplay playoffs (players in 4 player groups, playing 3 games per round on 4/2/1/0 scoring, with the top 2 totals advancing). In addition to A division, there will be 8 spots in B division playing the same format. B division is comprised of the top 8 players outside of the IFPA top 1500 that did not make A finals.
PRIZE POOL:
A Division (80% of prize pool):
1st: 35%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 15%
4th: 10%
5th-8th: 5%
B Division (20% of prize pool):
1st: 45%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 15%
4th: 10%
Entry is $15, with 1 dollar going to IFPA fees.
