Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: March 31, 2024
This is our weekly Sunday Night tournament starting at 6 pm every Sunday at the L.A.B. The format will alternate between Flipper Frenzies, Target Group Matchplays, and Group Strikes depending on tournament size. Buy-in is $5, but if you are a first timer to the L.A.B., your buy-in is free, and if you bring a first timer with you, both of you get in free. Cost of games is discounted for the tournament. We have 28 games on location and pick the bank of games we compete on the night of, and are open to requests on what machines to include in weekly bank.
Generally, top 4 make finals and are in the money, but finals will be as large as we can reasonably make it to maximize the value of the tournament. Finals are normally Papa style with top 4 playing a bank of 3 games (scoring 4,2,1,0), but size permitting, we do full 8 player PAPA finals, or we do an Amazing Race Semi Finals with a 4 player PAPA finals. Group Knockouts have no finals and last remaining player without designated number of strikes is the winner. Qualifying takes 2 hours and finals normally takes 60-90 mins total.
