Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: May 02, 2016

Qualifying dates and times during normal business hours of the Flipperspiel Underground Arcade Club are as follows: 4-22 1 round can be played at 10:00 PM. 4-25 rounds can be started between 7-10PM. 4-26 1 round can be played right after pinball league is done. An initial buy-in of $5.00 will allow you to play nine "holes" of Pin-Golf in an attempt to reach the target goal or score in as few number of balls played as possible. All buy-in money goes to the total prize pot.

In an effort to better your score, any player may purchase additional buy-ins at $5.00 each which will allow you to play each game an additional time. There is no limit to the number of buy-ins that can be purchased however players must play their games during the times and dates listed above; Under no circumstances will qualifying games be allowed to be played at other times.

May 2nd at 6:45 will be the finals. Play will begin at 7:00PM sharp. Those who submitted qualifying scores will be ranked according to their cumulative performance on all nine "holes" and the top half up to eight players present at the start of the tournament will be eligible to participate in the finals. Any ties in qualifying will be broken by first: the number of holes in 1, then 2, then so on. If the scores are completely identical then the tie will be broken with a single ball high score playoff on a game chosen at random. Once any ties are broken players will be seeded into a double-elimination bracket and competition will then proceed head-to-head until a winner is decided.

Each match of this bracket will be played best out of three on three different games, the higher initial seed will have choice of machine or turn order for the first game with the loser of that game selecting either the machine or turn order for the following game. Each game will be played Pin-Golf format with the lowest number of strokes counted as the victor. Any ties will immediately be broken by playing a single ball on the same game, high score wins the tie. The pot consisting of all buy-in money will be divided up as follows: 1st place = 50%, 2nd place = 30%, 3rd place = 20%,.

The buy-in fee does NOT include the cost of playing the games. Flipperspiel Underground Arcade Club normally charges a $10 per day fee for non-members and each participant who is not already a monthly or annual member will need to pay this upon the first day of qualifying. Please see the club website for more information as to how to join as a monthly or annual member and have this fee waived entirely.
