Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: August 27, 2016

Cactus Jacks GOLF!
A Pebble Beach Challenge!

Tournament begins at Noon, you must plunge your first ball of the front 9 by 1:00 PM to be eligible to compete.

Join us for a 100% IFPA rated PinGolf tournament set up as The Pebble Beach Golf Course. Games will be set to either 3, 4, or 5 ball play with varying levels of difficulty to reach the target score/goal. The target and number of balls to play will be posted on the back glass of all games. You are trying to reach the target in as few tries (balls) as possible. If you reach the target on ball 2, then you would record a 2 on your score card. There will be an extended scale if you do not reach the target by the end of your last attempt. For example, if the target on Iron man is 10,000,000 points for a 3 ball game, and you did not complete the goal by the end of your third ball, then you would look at the following scale:
1/2/3 strokes: 10,000,001 and up
4 strokes: 8,500,001-10,000,000
5 strokes: 7,000,001-8,500,000
6 strokes: 5,500,001-7,000,000
7 strokes: 0,000,000-5,500,000

Front 9
(A and B Group qualification)
Play in groups of 3 or more players (preferably 4 per grouping). Play holes 1-9 of the Pebble Beach event. Start on any hole labeled 1-9 and play all other holes in sequence. Record your stroke count on your score card and take a photo of your group scores for verification.
After the first 9 holes, we will split the field of players into A group and B group. A group will consist of no more than half of the player field.

Back 9
(A and B Group seeding)
Play in groups of 3 or more players (preferably 4 per grouping), within your grouping (A or B). Play holes 10-18 of the Pebble Beach event. Start on any hole labeled 10-18 and play all other holes in sequence. Record your stroke count on your score card and take a photo of your group scores for verification.

Playoffs!
(Finals)
The top 4 players in A group and B group will play in the sudden death playoffs! A Finalists will play the Front 9, B Finalists will play the back 9. Using the target scoring, each group will start on the first hole of the 9 hole series. The player with the lowest score will be knocked out, all other competitors will continue to the next hole in sequence. If there is a tie for the highest (bad) score, tied players will advance with no elimination.

General Tournament Rules:
Tournament begins at noon, you must plunge the first ball before 1:00 PM
Skillfully Plunge Extra Balls: You are not allowed to touch flippers during extra ball play.
If a machine becomes inoperable, then all scores will be pulled (not counted) from that machine and a backup machine will be put in its place for following rounds.
Meaningful ties:
Ties to get into the A grouping after the front 9 will be played on hole 9.
Ties to get into the top 4 after the back 9 will be played on hole 18.
