Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 12, 2016
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Novemver 12th for a charity pinball tournament. The gameroom will open at 8am for practice and the tournament starts at 1pm. Please try and be on site and registered by 12:30pm. Cost is $20 per player with 100% of the money going to Loaves and Fishes of Kalamazoo. IFPA points will also be awarded.
PM me privately for the address.
Details will be forthcoming, but the tournament premse is Pinbowling. Scores will be individual, but you will bowl in groups of 4. 10 machines will be selected, one for each bowling frame. Games will be set to 3-ball. If you achieve the score on ball one you get a STRIKE worth 30 points. Get the objective in 2 balls and you get a SPARE worth 20 points. Get the objective in 3 balls you get 10 points. Didn't achieve the object score? The objective score will be subdivided to assign a number 1-9. The extra 10th frames will be played on a different game to replace the lowest score in your game. Example: If you achieved a 7 in the 5th frame, you will play the selected game to try and get higher than a 7. If you receive a lower score, the initial score remains.
The top 14 players will advance to the finals with the top 2 receiving a bye. 4-player Groups will be based on seeding. 3 games will be played in Pinbowling format in each round with the lowest 2 players eliminated from each group. After the first 6 people are eliminated the 2 players that had a bye will join the 6 for 8 players total. The two 4-player groups will play 3 games each with the lowest two players in each group eliminated. Last round will continue to determine places 1-4. Places for the other rounds will be based on when they were eliminated as well as the scores achieved during the rounds.
Games will be selected based on which games can be set to 3-ball. No AAB games will be used and possibly a few others as well.
Lunch and dinner will be provided as well as water and soda. If you wish to bring a dish to pass or other drinks, that is entirely up to you.
I will post any changes or updates in the upcoming weeks.
