FAQ
Q: Is this a wedding or what? Is it open to the public?
A: Ace and Trey are tying the knot right before the tournament in a small ceremony with family. There'll be some wedding cake, but otherwise yes, this is an IFPA tournament that is open to the public.
Q: Can I select my opponent/machine?
A: No. We use Brackelope software to randomly match players and machines.
Q: Are the tournament games free?
A: Yes! Bring $10 cash for the entry free, but you will not need quarters for your tournament games.
Q: Can I pay my $10 entry fee with a credit or debit card?
A: No, please bring cash.
Q: What does Three Strike Knockout mean?
A: Each match consists of ONE game (each player gets 3 balls in one game). If you lose a game, that's one strike. You know the rest - 3 strikes and you're out! The last player standing wins.
Q: Which machines will be in the tournament?
A: Machines are subject to change based on what's up and running on tournament day, but right now the line-up includes Sopranos, Viper Night Driving, WWE Royal Rumble, Aladdin's Castle, and Wizard.
Q: How can I practice?
A: Most of the tournament machines are already up at Garibaldi's so go by any time during normal business hours to play.
Q: Is there a prize for winning the tournament?
A: This tournament is IFPA-endorsed, which means that most players will receive points towards an IFPA world-ranking (see www.ifpapinball.com for more info on rankings). In addition to incredible bragging rights, there will also be prizes for the top 4 players.
Q: Is the tournament open to all ages?
A: Yes
Q: Does Garibaldi's serve beer?
A: Yes, if you are 21+
