Players can have an unlimited number of attempts on each of the seven competition machines between 5pm-10pm on Wednesdays. Each player's best score on each Wednesday will be recorded. Each player will be ranked as per his/her score on each machine, e.g. if 20 players participate the highest scoring player gets 20 points, second highest 19 etc.
The points of all machines played on all Wednesdays are tallied and the top 8 players will advance to compete in The Beer Is On Us Final, held on the last Thursday of December, starting 6:30PM sharp.
FINALS: (Top 8) (4,2,1,0 scoring)
Round 1 - Qualifying Round: (players 1,2,3,4) play 3 x 4-player games, top two proceed to Round 3 - Final, bottom two proceed to Round 2 - Semi Final
Round 1 - Elimination Round: (players 5,6,7,8) play 3 x 4-player games, top two proceed to Round 2 - Semi Final, bottom 2 are eliminated
Round 2 - Semi Final: play 3 x 4-player games, top two proceed to the Round 3 - Final, bottom 2 are eliminated
Round 3 - Final: play 3 x 4-player games, player 1 and 2 from Qualifying round and players 1 and 2 from Semi Final.
Let's kick start the festive season! How does "the beer is on us" work? - Each Wednesday the highest scoring player on each of the seven machines will win $10 Coogee Dollars (approx. worth 2 beers or a meal). In order to award 7 different players each Wednesday (one winner on each of the seven competition machines) you can win the $10 only once, meaning the prize will go to the second highest scorer if you have won on more than one machine.
