Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: September 28, 2017

Schedule:

September 28th:
10am-8pm - Qualifying
7pm - Purchase Cutoff
8pm - No Further Qualifying Entries (any 1 game started by 8 may be completed)
8:30pm Finals Begin

Pre-Registration:

Pre-registration is available for $15 ($5 Entry Fee + $10 for 1 par card). Pre-Register via Paypal, Venmo, or Google Wallet to the following email address: djriel75@gmail.com. Or register with cash in person.

Pre-registration gives the benefit to the first 9 registrants to pick the game AND the hole objective (*pending TD approval).

All $5 registration fees collected will be donated to the PCAP (http://www.preventchildabusepa.org/).

Qualifying:

Qualifying starts at 10am Thursday and ends at 8pm Thursday. Last game must be started before 8pm, and this game will be allowed to be played and finished.

Play will be based on the Pin-Golf scoring system, scored on a par card with 9 holes (games). Games will be set to 3 balls. If the player fails to reach the objective after 3 balls, their score for that hole will be a 4. Entry to the tournament is $15 ($5 Entry Fee + $10 for 1 par card) and buys you in for 1 par card. Additional par cards can be purchased for $10.

If there is a major malfunction (i.e. the machine will not play), scores on that machine will stand UNLESS the malfunction happens within 2 hours after qualifying starts. In this case, the machine is taken out, all scores erased and the competitors will have an opportunity to choose another game for entries containing that game.

All rulings will be made by the tournament director in a fair and honest fashion.

WPPRS:

WPPR rankings will be the A qualifiers rankings from the finals, followed by the scores done in qualifying (5th to infinity if there were 4 qualifiers). Ties below the top 4 will be listed as a tie for x place. Players not qualified are ranked by qualifying finish.

Finals Rounds:

At the conclusion of qualifying time, the top 50% overall will move onto finals.
The finals round will match players based on how well they did in the par rounds. If there is a tie in the seeding record, there will be a 1 ball playoff on a randomly picked machine to determine the higher seed.

Finals rounds will be played on 4 games with Pinburgh scoring (3-2-1-0) from the bank of the qualifying games. If the tournament has a full allotment of qualifiers for finals (16), finals will be a PAPA style, 3 game, 4-2-1 format.

Tiebreakers to get into finals will be 1 full game on a randomly selected machine.

Seeding and games are based on the session play format, and top seed gets first choice of order on the first game. After the first game the lowest score gets choice of order on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th games, followed by 3rd, 2nd and 1st place scorers.

If there is a tie at the conclusion of the 4 game final to move on to the next round, the tiebreaker will be 1 full game on a randomly chosen machine and the person with the originally higher seed will get choice of position.

Top 2 scores from each group move on to the next round until the final 4. In the final, scoring determines 1st through 4th place. If there is a tie, there will be 1 full game played on a randomly chosen machine to determine the tie breaker.

No Practice or play on tournament games during tournament time.

Games TBA the week preceding the tournament. The 9 games used in qualifying are also the same 9 games for finals. No other games can be chosen.

Finals Game picks are given priority to the highest seeded groups first. There will be no wait line on games (e.g. if Group 1 picks Knockout, no other group can pick that game for game 1). For the remainder of games in that round, the priority is given to groups that finish first.

Seeding Example in the finals rounds is as follows (Using 16 Players) - Round 1 - Group 1 (1,8,9,16), Group 2 (2,7,10,15), Group 3 (3,6,11,14), Group 4 (4,5,12,13)
Final Round - Group 1 (Top Seed, Next Seed, Next Seed, Last Seed).
