Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 02, 2018
Basement Champ PINBALL Tourney! (IFPA sanctioned)
If you haven't been out yet to our once a month, first Wed night of the month Tournament, you're missing out. Emily, Tim, and I run a smooth operation on great machines at a terrific bar/restuarant/comicbook/arcade!
TLDR version? *play 5 or more qualifying games, then play a few rds of best 2outof3 playoffs*
Entry:
$1 per player entry fee.
Pay Emily at white-board, then see KG at laptop to register.
Qualifying:
From 6:20pm to 9:40pm.
Players will play $1 a game qualifying games on 5 titles: AFMLE, TRON, GB, GOTG, IM.
Other 3 titles will be backups SW, BM66, & TWD.
Each qualifying player must play each of the five qualifying machines at least once.
See Emily at white-board to get in line for machine.
Each person you score ahead of on each machine will be worth 1 player point.
Example: You get 1st place score on a machine and there are 20 qualified players. You get 19 player points.
The person in second place gets 18 player points and so on. Basically a point for every other qualifying player you finish ahead of.
Total machine scores cumulative will serve as tie-breakers.
(NOTE: high scores on the very high scoring AFMLE will be helpful for tie-breakers)
(If a machine goes down and gets replaced I will throw it and its replacement out from the tie-breaking scenarios.)
Playoffs:
Top eight players will make head to head playoffs.
Top seed gets choice of machine or order.
Bye’s: #1-#4 seeds get 1st round bye. #1 & #2 seeds get 2nd round bye.
Wild Card: single game elimination
#5 & #8 seeds play each other in a single game elimination.
#6 & #7 seeds play each other in a single game elimination.
