Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 15, 2018
Its almost that time of year! Holidays! Merriment! Giving! Parties! Blinking Lights! As we put our ghoul masks and fake blood away after Halloween, start to think about what you can do to help your community in need as the next holidays near. This tournament is aimed to help the little kiddos in Portland and surrounding areas get special gifts during the holiday season. Poverty affects the masses and the children sometimes have to go without a visit from Santa. Lets get together and help bring some joy and smiles to those little faces.
Portland pinball veteran, Spokanthony, started this tournament years ago. After a brief hiatus, we are happy to work with him in brining it back. New location, same goal. In the past, over $1500 has been raised at each tournament, enough for 4 shopping carts full of gifts. If you've ever been to one of these, you'll remember all of the huge, amazing prizes that are raffled off. Expect the same.
Now for the details.
Chess Swiss Format
5 Rounds
Finals (6-8 qualifiers, depending on attendance)
You play your opponent twice. If you win both games, you get 3 points. If you split the wins, you each get 1 point each.
$10 buy in (please also bring a toy to donate if you are able)
Every entry gets 1 free raffle ticket. If you bring a toy, you get 2 extra raffle tickets
All ages event.
100% of all raffle ticket sales will go directly to Toy and Joy Makers.
