Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: May 18, 2019

PinBowling is a format with a single entry qualifying round where players play 3 ball games, called a frame. Each game will have a target score. If the target score is reached on the 1st ball, that is a "strike" If the target score is not reached, pins are awarded proportional to the target score, from 0 to 9 pins. For example if the target score was 100 million, getting a score of 65 million would award 6 pins and getting a score of 31 million would award 3 pins. If the target score is reached on ball 2, a spare is awarded, if the score is not reached, the remaining proportional pins are awarded. On ball 3, players can pick up any remaining pins but cannot earn the scoring bonuses for a strike or spare. After 10 frames are played, a player will have a PinBowling score which is calculated by adding all 10 frames together. Each frame is the number of pins awarded plus a bonus of pins from the next two balls from a strike or one ball from a spare.

After the qualifying rounds are over, their will be playoffs. Playoffs will be played in a group of 4 on a 1/2 game, that is 5 frames. The top 2 in each group will advance to the next round

10 or less: 4 qualify
11-16: 6 qualify, top 2 byes
17-24: 8 qualify
25-32:12 qualify, top 4 byes

Cost to enter is $5
