Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: October 26, 2019

-$15 entry ($9 per entry towards pool) 50% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, 20% to 3rd.

-1st in U-18 and female receive $20 dollar giftcards. 2nd receives $10 gift cards.

-“top novice prize” that is awarded to the lowest IFPA player who does not qualify for any form of playoffs. A $15 gift card is the prize
.
-Registration starts at 11:30, Tournament starts at 12:30. Games set on free-play.

-6 rounds of 7/5/3/1 scoring in groups of 4 (or 3). Opponents: Balanced … Game selection: Balanced … Player order: Random.

-Top 8 make playoffs. Top 4 U-18 and top 4 females also have playoffs. If a U-18 or female qualifies for the open event, they only play in the open event. In the case that a U-18 also qualifies for the women’s event, they play in the woman’s, not the U-18.

-Many ties will be broken by number of 1st and 2nd through Match play software. If a tie still exists for 1st(seeding for playoffs and game choice) or 8th( last playoff spot), a one-ball tie-breaker on a random machine will be played. All other ties ( 3rd-7th ), will be broken via random number generator. If a player leaves prior to/or during playoffs, no one will replace that player. The same number of players will still advance.

Playoffs for all groups (Open/U-18/Women) are 7/5/3/1 scoring with the highest seed selecting the machine/or position for all 3 games in a set.

Open playoffs is 2 rounds of 3 games. Women’s and U-18 are 1 round of 3 games. Open playoffs take place in back room, Women’s and U-18 playoffs occur in the front row of machines.

Playoff ties will only be broken if there is a prize at stake, and will be a one-game playoff with highest seed selecting game or position. No game may be chosen that was just played in the last regular round of 3 games.
