Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: November 02, 2019

(Prize money and payouts are based upon a full field of 24 players)

Schedule:
Doors open at 10 am for practice on Pinball machines. Sign in by 11am. Tournament will start at noon. There will be a food table as always with soda and water made avalible. Feel free to bring food and drink for the food table, and/or to share.

Tournament Format:
The RumMex Pinball House “The Moose is Loose Tournament “will be run in three parts: 9 hole PinGolf Tourney, Elimination Rounds, and finally, NEPL style Match Play.

Moose loose one:

PinGolf Tourney! Four player’s play 9 machines with the machines having a PinGolf set score. Each player will have 3 balls to try to achieve the set score. If player gets set score in 1 ball the player will receive a score of 1 for that game. If player achieves the set score with ball 2 the player will receive a 2 for that game. If the player achieves set score with ball 3 the player will get a 3 for a score for that game. If player cannot get set score with his/her ball 3 player will get a score of 4 for that game. Machines will be randomly chosen the day of tournament just prior to the start of part 1 PinGolf tourney!
For the first game of the PinGolf tourney play order will be chosen from top seed down. For the second and third, ect. Games play order will be chosen from loser up.

Ties will be broken by MatchPlay with a single game, and a score of highest to lowest using 10-6-4-2 score system and seeding will be determined by pick of card system. After the completion of 9 rounds of pingolf the field will be split in half (if possible) to form A and B divisions based on highs/lowest score records.

Moose loose Two:

Match Play Elimination Rounds - Match Play pinball games with the last place eliminated until each division is down to 4 players.
Play will be identical for both divisions. For the first round there will be 4 groups of 4 players. Each group will be assigned 4 random games. At the end of each game the last place finisher will receive one strike. Play continues until a player has received two strikes, at which point they are eliminated from the tournament.
Now the remaining 3 players in each group are assigned 3 random games. Again the last place finisher will receive a strike for each game. Strikes from the previous matches carry over so if you come in last and had already earned a strike in the previous match you will now be eliminated. Now the remaining 2 players will be assigned a new game and play head to head. The winner moves on to the final four. In other words, don’t come in last twice during the survival rounds!
Play order for each game is chosen by top seed. The remaining players choose their order in descending order of seeding.
Any players who were eliminated during the same round will play a tie-breaker match on one randomly assigned machine. Seeding for this match will be based upon their seeding going in to the Survival Rounds.

Moose Loose Three:

NEPL Style Match Play - Seeding will be based on rank from the end of part one. Each player chooses a game and goes first on that game. Play order will be on the sheets. Scoring will be 5, 3,2,1. The highest score wins.
