Time: 9AM SHARP START TIME (games will go on at 8:30am for practice and will turn off at 8:50AM so we can start announcements). Qualifying will consist of 2 hours of Flip Frenzy. Finals start time will be 11:10am and the tournament will end by 12:30pm.

Cost: $40 ($35 will go to the prize fund/trophies/expenses and the remaining $5 will go towards expenses, pizza, and refreshments). Must be paid in full using Paypal's Friends & Family. Send all payments to firststateflippers@gmail.com

Players: Capped at 48 players

Registration: All registration is handled through Eventbrite. Tickets go on sale 7/11 at 8pm est. When registration on Eventbrite you are allowed to buy up to 3 tickets at once. When signing up for the waitlist, you can only sign up one person at a time.

Format: Flip Frenzy format. You will be playing head to head (2-player) matches and we will have a queue of players waiting in line to play a match. If all 26 people show up, we will have 20 people playing matches at the same time with 6 people standing in queue. As soon as ANY match ends, this will trigger the first person in the queue to go play a match. Rinse and repeat for 2.5 hours. When a match ends and after reporting a win using the Matchplay Events software, Player 1 will now become player 2 for the next match against the first player standing in queue. The player coming out of the queue will always be Player 1. Player 2 from the previous match then moves to the back queue, regardless if you win or lose, Player 2 ALWAYS goes to the end of the queue. At the end of each match the winner gets (+1) point and the loser will get (-1) point. After 2.5 hours of qualifying the top 8 based on "net wins" will move on to the finals. "Net Wins" is determined by the number of wins minus the number of losses. Tiebreakers will be decided by "most wins", followed by the "fewest losses".

Pizza will be delivered around 11am and there will be no breaks once the tournament starts.

Format Specific Rules:

1. Players may not concede the game prior to the start of ball 3

2. In the event that a registered player is late at the start of a match, that player will be moved to the end of the queue and will also receive a loss for that match.

Finals: Top 10 will move on to the "A" finals and will play in a 60 minute Flip Frenzy. Everyone in the top 10 will cash.
