Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: February 12, 2022
Vermont State Championship Pinball Tournament to be held on Sat Feb 12, 2022
Start time to be around 1 pm. Arrival & warm up time is from 12:30 to 12:45 pm if playing in the Vermont State Championship. Review tournament format, rules, and player pairings from 12:45 to 1 pm.
The top 16 ranked players from IFPA-sanctioned events and leagues held in Vermont from throughout 2021 will compete for the chance to be crowned the 2021 Vermont State Pinball Champion.
IFPA is not holding official IFPA state championships or a national championship for year 2021, therefore the winner will not get an invite from IFPA to a national championship. This event will earn IFPA points for year 2022, but is not an official IFPA State Championship.
Head-to-Head Single Elimination Format. Each 2-player match is Best-of-7 games on the winners side of the bracket, except best of 3 games for deciding 3rd/4th places in the consolation match. All other finishing positions will also be played out in best-of-three game matches to determine 5th through 16th places.
Tournament bracket will be seeded per IFPA player points earned in yr 2021 (LINK: https://www.ifpapinball.com/nacs/2021/standings.php?l=VT)
If less than 16 players participate that earned IFPA points in 2021, then the remaining open positions of the field of 16 can be filled with other players present during the 12:45 to 1 pm start time.
Entry fee for main tournament to be $10 per player to help cover cost of trophies, hosting expenses, and the $1 per player IFPA endorsement fee.
No cash payouts for this state championship.
We plan to follow IFPA standard rules and format for state championships as much as possible even though this is not an official IFPA state championship.
