Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: April 08, 2022

This is a small event. We are limiting this event to 20 attendees (though we are showing approval with the IFPA for up to 21 people on the off chance that someone who registers unexpectantly materializes with a child or spouse who really wants to play). You must register in advance for this event, first come first serve…we expect this event to fill up within a few days of posting based on all the interest we’ve been having so if you are reading this a day or two before the event we will likely not have any open spaces…but never fear, if this event goes well we will hold a larger event able to hold more people in early May.

Event starts at 6pm. You may show up at 5:30pm to practice. Please do not show up before 5:30pm, this address is a place of business (an office) that closes at 5pm, please do not disrupt the staff at this office by showing up before 5:30pm…we are very fortunate they let us hold events at this location so we want to be respectful of this request from the location.

Alright, here is the skinny:

Qualifying will be through the Best Game format on MatchPlay with a 95% modified decay scoring system. You get two plays on each game. We will have seven (7) games ready to play: BSD, IM, ST (premium), SC, our HEP restored Medusa, DW, and our HEP restored TAF. Both games count and will be entered in to MatchPlay.

The top eight qualifiers will then be split in to two groups of four and do MatchPlay of three (3) games with then the bottom two from each MatchPlay grouping being eliminated and the top two from each grouping being repaired up for the final four and head to head MatchPlay (three games each to determine the finishes).

The entry fee is $5, but the fee will be waived entirely for anyone who comes to the event dressed like a pirate. Best looking pirate will win a small prize.

You can register for this event by PM’ing TigerLaw through Pinside or by emailing Mrs. TigerLaw at: pav2207@gmail.com It would be a good idea to text TigerLaw or Mrs. TigerLaw to make sure they saw your email. If you do not have their numbers, you can obtain it from the Louisiana IFPA rep Mike VanEtten but it is not being publicly posted here under. To register you need to provide your full name, residential address, cell phone number, and IFPA number. Be advised they may run a background check on any applicant and anyone who has a felony record will have their registration request rejected.
