Cost $5 entry + coin drop
This year's qualifying tournament will test the new matchplay format called "Max Match Play" which is a replacement for flipper frenzies. All players are guaranteed to play the same number of games.
Following the Max Match Play, the top 4 qualifiers will go into a ladder match. Top seed will choose machine or order for the first game, low score drops out, taking 4th place. The three remaining players move on, with top score of previous game choosing machine or order. Low score drops out, taking 3rd place. This is repeated once more between the two remaining players, with top score taking 1st place and low score taking 2nd.
There will be an awesome trophy for the winner, and cash payout for the top 4 players.
There will be a high score side tournament on Roller Coaster Tycoon.
