DFW Pinball League 2023 Spring / Summer League
This league should hit the 200% TGP mark or darn close to it based on the rules introduced by the IFPA for 2023.
THIS LEAGUE WILL RUN ON WEEKENDS IN COLLECTORS' PRIVATE GAME ROOMS FROM APRIL THROUGH JULY 2023, WITH FINALS HAPPENING IN THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST.
EACH EVENT ALSO HOSTS A SEPARATE IFPA TOURNAMENT AS WELL - SO COME AND HAVE FUN AT BOTH !!
A page with details for EACH standalone tournament will appear on the IFPA calendar approximately 4-6 weeks before each specific event. A Facebook event page will be built for most of the standalone tournaments as well.
LEAGUE SCHEDULE:
EVENT 1: Sunday April 30 at NOON
Ken Kemp opens his famous collection at 411 West Hughes Street, Collinsville, TX 76233 for his annual TOAD SUCK SHOOTOUT fundraiser benefitting kids' educations and college scholarships. the collection consists of ~40 pinball machines. Cost is LIKELY to be $27 per person (or larger charitable donation) to play.
EVENT 2: Saturday May 6 at NOON
Tom George hosts many of the DFW Women's League events, but now he is also scheduled to host the FULL DFW League at his home at 4181 Newton Street, The Colony, TX 75056. This is a unique collection with games that we don't generally see elsewhere! Cost is LIKELY to be $10 per adult and $5 per child to play.
EVENT 3: Weekend of May 20 and 21
Hosted by Keith and Garrett Shahan at 241 Cardinal Lane, Abilene, TX 79602, the league event will start on Saturday at 1:00 PM. League is SATURDAY only. This is part of the ABILENE SHOWDOWN - which will have the league event AND also THREE (3) IFPA tournaments in a two day span.
Cost is LIKELY to be $10 per person (all entrants) to play.
This covers any/all of the tournaments and league.

The Ramos family at 8426 County Rd 301, Grandview, TX 76050 opens their home and their collection, with collaboration from Warren Joe as they combine their amazing collection of pinball machines for this event! Cost is LIKELY to be $10 per adult and $5 per child to play.
EVENT 5: Sunday Jul 2 @ NOON
Stephen Brown opens his amazing game room at 12789 Concho Drive, Frisco, TX 75033. This pinball collection consists of mostly 1980s machines and older and is truly amazing! Cost is LIKELY to be $10 per adult and $5 per child to play.
EVENT 6: Sunday July 30 @ NOON
Kim Keist, owner of Kimball's Pinballs and winner of countless awards for his creations at the Texas Pinball Festival, hosts a pinball tournament for us at 10005 Allen Mill Court, Lakeside/Fort Worth, TX 76135. Cost will be $35 per person to play with all excess proceeds going to Ken Kemp's Toad Suck Scholarship Fund for kids.
PLAYOFFS/FINALS - EVENT 7: Saturday August 5 @ Noon
Rickie Carson hosts our league finals at 1228 Stillwater Trail, Carrollton, TX 75007 with his amazing collection of games stretching from the 1980s all they up to modern machines. League finals are FREE for those who qualify. Costs were paid at the qualifiers - there is no cost to play in the FINALS. The Standalone IFPA tournament
League qualifying is best score format - unlimited attempts with a minimum of 8 hours per qualifier - 6 qualifying dates total.
A person must complete HALF of all qualifying games to be eligible for the finals. See https://dfw-pinball-league.webnode.com/ for specific league rules, scoring guidelines, and more.
--- The league finals will be a strikes / knockout tournament.
--- Please be aware that, if any of the top qualifiers fail to appear, then their spot will be given to the next highest seed present at the start of the finals.
Finals start promptly on time - any participant who has NOT checked in at the START of the players meeting (at the beginning of the tournament) WILL lose their spot.
Any players that call, text, email, or Facebook message LOUIS MARX indicating that they are running late WILL have their spots held -- they have checked in -- however make 100% certain that he replies to your text!
If he doesn't reply, then he hasn't gotten it.
These messages ONLY count if he receives and replies to them.
He says, "I do make my contact info readily available to league participants - I am easy to find. I provide my phone/text number to any league participant that asks for it."
