Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: July 20, 2024
LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE! Join us for our annual summer tournament! This tournament is open to women of all skill levels and ages. Qualifying format is Target Matchplay followed by an Amazing Race Finals. The winner will receive the official Belles & Chimes SA championship belt to wear for one year and a cash prize. Tournament fee is $10 per person + coin drop with cash prizes to the top finishers. Registration starts at 4:30 PM and play begins at 5:00 PM.
QUALIFYING: Each round players will be placed in four player groups. Depending on the number of players there may be three player groups. At the end of each round, players will earn points depending on their finishing positions of each game (4, 3, 2, 1). Results will be submitted by players via the Matchplay.events software. Once a player reaches the target score of 24, they are considered qualified and will no longer play in subsequent qualifying rounds. Rounds will continue until 8 (if this is less than half of the total) players have reached the target score. If the time allotted for match play expires prior to filling all finals positions, the remaining positions will be filled based upon rankings tabulated at the conclusion of the final match play round.
TIEBREAKERS: Ties will only be broken when a player's participation in the finals is impacted. The tie will be settled by a one game tiebreaker, with the game randomly selected. Inconsequential ties will not be broken
FINALS SEEDING: Seeding will be determined based on player's qualifying results, with the highest seed being awarded to the player reaching the target first, then the second seed to the player who next reached the target, and so forth. Any other ties will be addressed by the TD directly.
AMAZING RACE: We will be utilizing Matchplay software for the Amazing Race. Games will be played in a predetermined order. The player with the lowest seed will play first. All players will play single player games on the same machines and the player with the lowest score for each machine is knocked out of the tournament. Once a player exceeds the lowest score for a machine, the player will immediately stop playing and plunge any remaining balls. That player should then advance to the end of the queue of the next machine in the sequence. If a player earns a new low score for a machine, then the previous holder of the low score advances to the queue of the next machine. Multiple machines will be played simultaneously to the extent possible. The last player standing wins!
