Tournament Date: September 01, 2024
Tournament Date: September 1, 2024
Time: Tournament play from 1:00 to approximately 4:00. Players should arrive by 12:30 to register.
Format: Max Match Play. This format is head-to-head (just two players per match). Instead of playing a predefined number of rounds, a Max Match Play tournament creates new matches as soon as possible after a match is over. By the end of the tournament, every player will play the same number of matches, and players will not face the same opponent repeatedly.
Cost and Payout: $10 cash per player, all of which goes into a cash prize pool to be paid out entirely to the top finishers. Please bring exact cash. Coin drop is also required for each round, with each game costing $1 per play. A Star Wars Home Edition will be brought in for this tournament only, and a Star Wars translite supplied by Stern Pinball will be awarded randomly to a player at the end of the tournament. Tiebreakers will be played at the end of the tournament if needed for those finishing in the money.
Food and Drink: No outside food and drink are allowed. Axemann Brewery includes two food venues, and free water is provided.
Registration: No pre-registration is required, but if you plan to come for sure please email Joe Schall, tournament co-director, so we can get a probable head count. Joe’s email is schall@ems.psu.edu.
