Tournament Date: November 23, 2024
The Uncanny X-Men Launch Tournament
Entry fee to the tournament is $5.
Doors open at 11am, Matchplay will begin at 1pm!
Format for this launch tournament will be a balanced pairing, 8 round Group Matchplay, using IFPA scoring. Each qualifying round will be groups of 4 (or 3) playing 1 game, using IFPA (7,5,3,1) scoring. After 8 rounds, the top 8 players, or a maximum of 50% of the field, will move on to a Ladder Matchplay Final. All others will play a 2 strike B Final.
The Ladder Finals will be groups of 4, beginning with the 5,6,7,8 seeds, playing 1 game of Uncanny X-Men. Whoever takes last in the game is eliminated. The other players move on and we will add the 4th seed. Ect…
During the finals, the top seed in the group will have a choice of their player order for that game.
Last person standing will be declared The Uncanny X-Men Grand Champion and be awarded the Launch Tournament Plaque.
All games are 2 tokens to play.
All extra balls will be off, if you are awarded an extra ball, please plunge it with no flips.
All rulings from Tournament Directors are final.
This is an IFPA Sanctioned event.
All A Finals Games will be played on X-Men.
