Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: June 16, 2015
Entry fee is $5. Players are also responsible for the cost of games played during the event. Cash awards for 1st-3rd place, plus highest placing woman and novice players. These tournaments have a casual vibe and are intended to be beginner-friendly. We encourage pinball fans to participate regardless of experience or skill level.
Format is two hours of ongoing head to head play on all available machines.
Players are initially placed in a queue according to their order of registration. Two player games are assigned on each machine, drawn from the front of the queue. When a match is over, the winner collects a point and goes to the back of the queue to await their next match. The player with the lower score remains on the machine to face their next opponent - whoever was at the front of the queue. If a player loses two matches in a row on the same machine, they go to the back of the queue following their second loss and the winner remains on the machine to face the next player. If a player is not available when their name comes up to play, they will be skipped and sent to the back of the queue. When the clock runs out, players are ranked based on how many games they won during the tournament. In the event that multiple players have the same number of wins, the tiebreaker will be who has the fewest number of losses.
Players can expect to play roughly 10-15 games during the tournament.
