Tournament Overview
Start Date: April 03, 2025
End Date: May 22, 2025
Start time: 6:30pm each Thursday.
Location: Tilt Studio at Arizona Mills Mall
This Tilt Studio League series will be 8 weeks. The first 7 weeks will be qualifying group match play, 4 rounds each week with the lowest 2 weeks (or misses) dropped.
Top 8 (or 12 if we have 36+ players playing at least 4 of the 7 qualifying weeks) after qualifying will play Division A finals on the 8th week. If we have 12 Division A finalists the top 4 receive a first round bye. Ties for making Division A finals or receiving a bye will be broken by a 1-game tiebreaker. All other qualifiers will compete for trophies in Divisions B, C, etc. based on qualifying standings and number of players.
Division A finals format if 8 players:
2 rounds with 2 games per round.
First round groups are seeds 1-4-5-8 and 2-3-6-7. Top 2 players advance from each group.
Second round will be the final 4 players to determine 1st through 4th.
The 4 eliminated players from Round 1 will play a consolation round to determine 5th through 8th.
Division A finals format if 12 players:
3 rounds with 2 games per round.
Round 1 pairings will be:
Group 1: seeds 5-8-9-12
Group 2: seeds 6-7-10-11.
Top 2 players advance from each group.
The 4 eliminated players from Round 1 will play a consolation round to determine 9th through 12th.
Round 2 pairings will be:
Group 1: 1-4 and the highest and lowest seeds who advanced from the first round.
Group 2: 2-3 and the second and third highest seeds who advanced from the first round.
Top 2 players advance from each group.
The 4 eliminated players from Round 2 will play a consolation round to determine 5th through 8th.
Round 3 pairings will be the 4 players that advanced from Round 2.
IFPA results for the Division A finalists will be based on the Week 8 finals, and everyone else's IFPA results position will be based on the qualifying standings after week 7. Divisions B, C, etc. finals on week 8 will be for trophies and prizes only.
League members pay an $8 league fee to cover the IFPA fee and cost of trophies. To be eligible to compete in the week 8 finals, players must pay the $8 league fee and play at least 4 of the qualifying weeks. Guests may play individual weeks, but must pay $1 each week they play.
The 7 qualifying days will be:
