Tournament Overview

Start Date: May 23, 2025
End Date: May 25, 2025

1ST Annual IOWA Pin-Masters!!
The tournament is open for anyone to participate in. $21 entry fee (20 to prize pool 1 to IFPA fees.
Each participant is guaranteed 18 games(holes) of qualifying. EVERYONE makes a final either “A” or “B” finals. The top half in increments of 4 (4,8,12,16……) players after these Qualifying rounds will advance to the “A Finals, which will be 4-player group Matchplay knock-out (top 2 move on bottom 2 out) on Banks of 3 or 4. Remaining players will play in “B” finals which will be group Matchplay finals IFPA scoring until the “A” finals are down to 4.
WHAT GAMES WILL BE USED IN THE TOURNAMENT TO MAKE UP THE PIN-GOLF COURSE?
Tournament games will consist of 9 games to be played twice each (Back 9/Front 9)The game list will be published prior to the tournament so participants have plenty of time to get familiar with game rules and develop a strategy beforehand, although this list is tentative and is subject to change leading up to the event.
QUALIFYING ROUNDS
OPEN Qualifying 5/23 from 6PM-10PM and 5/24 from 12PM-9PM. During these times if you are registered for the tournament your play on these games WILL BE YOUR SCORE if you wish to “practice” or “warm-up” on the games you must do outside these times.
Players will complete 2 rounds of 9 Pin-Holes during Qualifying. Each Pin-Hole will consist of a pinball machine with a target score. The number of balls it takes for the player to reach that target score will represent the number of Pin-Strokes earned for that hole. Should a player not reach the target score after a 5 or 6 ball game is completed, the player will receive a score of 7.
For example, the target score of Dialed-In may be set at 500,000 points. A player will continue playing the game until they reach 500,000 points. If reached, the number of balls it took to reach that score will be recorded for that Pin-Hole. If the player fails to reach the target score after 5/6 balls are played, they will be awarded a 7.
FINALS
The top half players with the lowest Pin-Stroke total after their 2 qualifying rounds will advance to the Final Round to be held Sunday 5/25 Starting at 12PM. The Final Round consists of 4-player group play knockout, with 3/4 games per round using PAPA Scoring (2 move on 2 are out per group).
