SATURDAY MARCH 26 1PM START. $ 10 Entry Fee plus coin drop. Entry fee includes $1 IFPA participation fee. All participating players receive World Pinball Player Ranking points. Top 4 players cash 40/30/20/10% of prize pool.
QUALIFYING: GROUP MATCH PLAY with TARGET SCORE: 4 (or 3) player Group Match Play using Matchplay.events website. 5321/531 scoring, swiss pairing, balanced game picks. Software determines groups, player order, and game picks. TARGET SCORE: To qualify for Semi-finals player must achieve 25 match play points. TOP 8 finalists will be seeded in order or qualifying, with tiebreakers for most wins, then most 2nd place, 3rd place finishes during qualifying round.
SEMI FINALS: Semi-finals will be PAPA style: 2 groups of 4 players will compete in 3 games of group match play using 3210 scoring. (Group 1 seed 1-4-6-7, Group 2 seed 2-3-5-8). The group MUST play [in any order] 1 Modern Stern Pinball Machine, 1 Bally/Williams Pinball Machine, and 1 Solid State machine [any manufacturer]. Highest seed has game pick or order pick every game, deferring game/order pick to the next highest seed in each group. Top 2 players from each group will advance to final round. Tiebreaker for advancing to finals will be 2 ball random game pick from the 3 games played in semi-finals.
FINALS: Finals will be PAPA style: 4 players will compete in 3 games of group match play using 3210 scoring. The group MUST play [in any order] 1 Modern Stern Pinball Machine, 1 Bally/Williams Pinball Machine, and 1 Solid State machine [any manufacturer]. Highest seed has game pick or order pick every game, deferring game/order pick to the next highest seed in each group. Tiebreaker for 1st place only, 3 ball random game pick from the 3 games played in finals.
This is a friendly competition open to all ages and skill levels. Please respect each other and respect the host facility and equipment.
